Private Equity News is delighted to announce the winners of the 6th annual Awards for Excellence in Private Equity Europe 2008 to be held on the evening of 2nd April at The Banqueting House, London.
These awards provided a forum at which success in Europe's private equity industry acknowledged by, and promoted to, investors, service providers and industry peers. The awards ceremony covered the private equity industry across the whole of Europe.
The awards were presented in a total of 20 categories ranging from European Large Buyout Firm of the Year to European Fundraising of the Year, and 8 of the awards were dedicated to activity in specific countries or regions.
This year we also recognised the increasing role of private equity firms from the Middle East and North Africa in Europe's private equity industry with the inaugural "MENA Private Equity Firm of the Year" award.
To decide the awards, Private Equity News assembled a distinguished panel of more than 160 institutional investors, advisers, financiers and senior private equity practitioners from across Europe to vote on the nominated groups in each category. The awards therefore reflect the views of the industry personalities whose opinions really matter.
