Financial News is delighted to announce the fourth annual ‘Awards for Excellence in IT Europe 2008’ to be held on Tuesday 30th September at Merchant Taylors’ Hall in the City of London. Technology is crucial to every aspect of financial services operations and Financial News has celebrated its importance with three highly respected and successful events over the last three years. IT is used to quicken financial operations, promote efficiencies and cut down costs, and is indispensable to the smooth operation of the financial markets.
These Awards aim to provide a forum at which the European financial services industry – from investment banks to fund managers, data providers to exchanges – will gather in the City of London to be honoured by Financial News and industry peers for excellence in their technology operations. The event is supported by both the companies and individuals nominated for recognition and also by the consultants, the vendors and the event sponsors. 250 guests will attend the event. These will be made up of senior figures from banks and consultants along with those companies nominated for awards.
The Awards will be presented in a total of 15 categories. To decide the Awards, Financial News has assembled a distinguished panel of judges to vote on the nominated groups in each category. The panel will judge which of the many firms within European operations, have had the most success in their technology development and investment over the past year.
