On 15th June 2011 Financial News hosted the inaugural annual Awards for Excellence in Institutional Hedge Fund Management, Europe 2011. These Awards have grown from our successful Hedge Fund Operational Awards and recognised those firms that deliver the services that institutional investors demand - that produce good performance but never by taking on too much risk, that put the needs of their current clients above the desire to gather yet more assets.

To decide the awards, a distinguished panel of industry practitioners voted on the nominees in each category. The panel cast their opinion on which of the many firms within European operations who had the most success in their sector over the past year. The winner's were presented their awards at the black tie dinner held at One Mayfair. The full list of winners and photos from the event are available on the website.
